Responsible use

A small advance is a tool. Use it as one.

Veska exists for the moments between paychecks when an unexpected bill or early due date means the math doesn't quite work. It is meant as a bridge, not as a substitute for long-term financial planning, and not as a tool for repeating expenses you can't otherwise afford.

When Veska is a good fit

A cash advance through Veska may be a reasonable choice when you have a one-time expense before your next paycheck, you know when your paycheck will land, and you can pay the advance back in full without difficulty.

When to think twice

If you find yourself relying on cash advances every pay cycle, that's a signal worth paying attention to. It may mean your income and expenses aren't lining up, a problem that no cash advance product can solve.

We're working on tools to help with this directly. In the meantime, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau offers free guidance on budgeting, debt, and financial planning.

If you're in a hard spot

If you're experiencing a financial hardship (job loss, medical emergency, family crisis), please reach out before the situation compounds. Write to us at hello@getveska.com. There are also free non-profit credit counseling resources at the National Foundation for Credit Counseling.

Our commitment

We will not push you to take an advance you don't need. Our limits are designed to be small. Our marketing focuses on the people who genuinely benefit from a short-term bridge, not the ones we'd profit most from.
